Maintenance Technician
This role focuses on maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The Maintenance Technician uses a broad mix of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fabrication skills to troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous production in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools to complete assigned maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain the facility and associated equipment, ensuring all systems function properly.
- Work with maintenance vendors to coordinate services, repairs, and equipment support as needed.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and in an orderly condition to support safety and efficiency.
- Complete and submit company purchase requisitions for parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Install equipment and electrical components, and test them to verify proper operation and performance.
- Ensure all machinery and equipment comply with federal, state, and company safety standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Read and interpret blueprints, instructions, and operations manuals to perform accurate repairs and installations.
- Collaborate with team members while also working independently to complete maintenance tasks and projects.
- Work overtime when required to support production needs and urgent maintenance activities.
- Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Industrial plant maintenance or electrical experience, with strong electrical skills highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with industrial controls and PLC troubleshooting.
- Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair experience.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, operations manuals, and follow step-by-step procedures.
- Ability to read blueprints and apply them to fabrication and installation tasks.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Mechanically inclined and able to perform physical labor, including lifting and operating machinery.
- Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Excellent safety record and consistent, reliable attendance.
- Ability to work overtime when required to meet operational needs.
- Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial setting.
- Well-rounded skill set in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- PLC troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Welding and fabrication experience for repairs and equipment modifications.
- Comfort using a wide range of hand tools and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues.
- Ability to communicate clearly with vendors, supervisors, and team members about maintenance needs and progress.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a manufacturing setting, working around industrial machinery and equipment. You will spend most of your time on the production floor and in maintenance areas, using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to service and repair systems. The environment involves physical work, including lifting, operating machinery, and moving throughout the facility. Overtime may be required based on production schedules and maintenance demands.
Safety standards are a core focus, and you will work within established procedures to maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant workspace.
This is a Permanent position based out of Saginaw, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $61000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Medical/Dental/Vision 401k, PTO, holiday pay
