Summary
The JV Lacrosse Coach at Heritage High School is responsible for coaching and developing student athletes in the fundamentals of lacrosse while preparing them for advancement to the varsity level. The coach supports the overall lacrosse program by promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, academic success, and personal growth in alignment with the school and district expectations.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement practice plans that focus on skill development, team building, and game strategy
- Plan and execute team meetings, parent meetings, and team events
- Collaborate with varsity head coach to ensure consistency in coaching philosophy, systems, and expectations.
- Attend all games, tournaments, and practices as required
- Work with assistant coaches to ensure a safe and positive environment for all team members
- Monitor and maintain team equipment and uniforms
- Provide feedback to athletes on their performance and progress
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administrators
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level
- Knowledge of lacrosse rules and strategy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well with athletes, parents, and school administrators
- Availability to work evenings and weekends for practices and games
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
