JV Football Coach

• Certified teacher preferred.
• Shows demonstrated skill in identifying and treating sports related injuries.
• Two years of successful experience as a coach in the respective sport preferred.
• Experience in high school or college sport preferred.
• Such alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

• Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
• Plans and schedules a regular program of practice in season.
• Works closely with the athletic director in scheduling practices.
• Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms, as appropriate.
• Maintains necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and similar paperwork.
• Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present.
• Eligibility in interscholastic competition in his/her sport will be based upon school district criteria.
• Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, and establishes and oversees penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
• Attends all games in which team participates.
• Will set a positive example for student athletes during practice and games.
• Will present a positive image for the school and the team through his/her behavior and appearance.
• Schedules and supervises the selection process of all team members.
• Will set personal, as well as player goals and objectives which can be evaluated. Such goals and objectives will be designed to promote growth and improvement in the coach, individual players, and team.
