Ameri Gas, the nation’s largest propane distributor, has immediate openings for safety-minded, customer-focused Transport Drivers near you.

• Drive an 11,400 gallon tanker truck to pick up propane at supply points such as refineries, pipeline terminals, or storage facilities and deliver it to Ameri Gas facilities.
• Make approximately four to five pick‑ups and deliveries per day, driving an average of 500 miles and working up to 14 hours per day.
• Spend about 80 % of the shift driving or waiting in line at the supply point.
• Attach terminal hoses to truck connections to pump propane into the tanker and use permanent or truck‑stored hoses to unload the tanker.
• Perform twice‑daily truck inspections.
• Climb ladders at some facilities to check gauges at the tops of bulk tanks.

• Class A CDL with 3 years of tractor‑and‑trailer experience (200 000 miles minimum)
• 1 year of tanker experience within the last three years (preferred)
• Hazardous materials and tanker endorsements
• Eligible for a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
• No accidents in the previous three years
• No more than one moving violation in the previous two years

The pay for this position ranges from $0.6058/mi to $0.6158/mi with a flat on‑duty‑non‑driving hourly wage ranging from $25.79 to $26.79, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance‑based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position.
