Position: A/B Mill Technician (3rd Shift)

Milling Technician (3rd Shift). You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient production of flour within the facility and support the efficient setting of mill equipment to optimize processing efficiencies and adhere to customer specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Maximize milling efficiencies daily by focusing on adjustment and operation of cleaning house and mill equipment.
  • Monitor the entire milling process and perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting tasks for all equipment related to the operation of the mill.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned including working on plant teams, providing input on capital projects, and center lining.
  • Maintain sanitation standards, in accordance with policies, to provide a safe and food‑safe work environment.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment and execute processes in the 5S, Pristine AMPS standards using process tools such as Center Line and 5‑why to create continuous improvement by determining root cause and corrective actions.
  • Use computers to operate mill equipment and document production reports, shift reports, including mill and maintenance issues.
  • Interact with scheduler, elevator, blender, quality team, maintenance and packer to communicate workflow, milling schedule and equipment issues.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an industrial environment (milling, agricultural, food production or equivalent).
  • Basic skills with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn and use new computer programs.
  • Demonstrated mechanical understanding and intermediate troubleshooting ability.
  • Understanding of safety behaviors within production environment.
  • Mill production experience.
  • Associate’s degree, technical or trade certifications, IAOM milling coursework, or any training and education specific to milling or grain sciences.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs multiple times per day and climb ladder, step and extension.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds and exert 20 pounds of force.
  • Frequently stand, walk, rotate, bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance and reach at shoulder level and below shoulder level.
  • Perform bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling and twisting safely.
  • Work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions including heat, cold, dust and loud noise, wearing personal protective equipment such as a dust mask.
  • Work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
  • Team members must be clean‑shaven when respiratory protection (including N‑95 dust mask) is required.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive compensation: base pay ranging from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, with potential for additional earnings based on experience. Bonus opportunity: OIP, 5% annual.
