- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on light to medium duty trucks, including oil changes and routine services
- Recondition used trucks for resale or fleet redeployment, including inspections, repairs, and cleanup
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues based on assigned repair line/type
- Perform test drives to confirm repairs and vehicle condition (valid MVR required for some hires, not all)
- Complete required paperwork and input repair information into the fleet management system in a timely manner
- Maintain assigned work areas and keep the shop clean and organized
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies
- Prior experience as an automotive, light/medium duty, or diesel technician (dealership recon experience a plus)
- Valid Driver's License with a clean/acceptable driving record (MVR check required for some hires-not all)
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds
- Basic computer skills to log repairs and submissions
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Basic reading and writing skills to complete repair orders
- Own basic hand tools
Demonstrates expertise in performing preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty trucks, including mechanical and electrical diagnostics. Proficient in maintaining accurate repair records and adhering to safety regulations.
