Disability Management Co-op (4-Month Term: May–August)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Disability Management Co-op student to join our team for a 4-month term from May through August. This opportunity is designed to provide hands‑on exposure to disability and absence management while building foundational skills in case coordination, client communication, and medical documentation review.

You will work closely with experienced Disability Management Professionals and contribute meaningfully to supporting active cases, learning how we deliver high-quality service to both employers and employees.

This is a remote role within Canada. Candidates must be able to work within our core business hours.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to Disability Management Professionals
  • Assist with reviewing and organizing medical documentation
  • Maintain accurate and detailed electronic case files
  • Track case timelines and follow up on outstanding documentation
  • Draft professional correspondence and internal summaries
  • Support communication between claimants, employers, and healthcare providers
  • Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and training sessions
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
What You Bring to the Team
  • Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program in Human Resources, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, Psychology, Business, or a related field
  • Availability for a full‑time 4‑month co‑op term from May to August
  • Strong interest in disability management, occupational health, or employee wellness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
You will succeed in this role if you are:

  • A Clear Communicator – You express ideas professionally in writing and conversation, adapting your approach to different audiences.

Compensation

At the time of this posting, the estimated hourly rate for this position is $19–$22 per hour. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as year of study, job‑related skills, and relevant experience.
