Role DescriptionWe are seeking a fully remote Business Development Coordinator to support multiple industry associations, with a primary focus on the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE). This role will be managed by CANRev Collaborative, with approximately 70% of the individual’s time dedicated to OSPE initiatives and 30% supporting similar business development work for other industry associations served by CANRev. The scope of work remains consistent across accounts and is focused on outbound prospecting, relationship building, and meeting generation.
The successful candidate will work closely with OSPE’s VP and internal membership and partnerships teams, acting as an extension of OSPE’s sales and membership growth efforts while being supported by CANRev’s processes, tools, and leadership.
We’re looking for a strong Business Development Coordinator with a proven ability to generate meetings and build relationships.
Required Experience- 3–4+ years of experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, or outbound sales
- Proven success with hunting for new opportunities through phone calls, emails, Linked In, and events
- Strong relationship-building skills with mid- to senior-level decision-makers
- Experience managing and updating CRM systems, ideally Hub Spot
- Comfortable using sales intelligence tools such as Zoom Info, Apollo, or similar platforms
- Confident communicator with excellent phone presence and email writing skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with partnerships, marketing, or leadership teams
- Experience working with engineering firms, professional services, or industry associations
- Exposure to selling memberships, training programs, or partnerships
- Event or tradeshow experience representing an organization and following up on leads
- Hunt for new leads through outbound calls, email outreach, Linked In, and targeted research
- Identify and engage engineering firms, employers, and decision-makers aligned with OSPE programs and offerings
- Secure and qualify new leads using tools such as Hub Spot, Zoom Info, and Apollo
- Book qualified meetings for OSPE leadership related to:
- Engineering Academy and corporate training programs
- Business advisory services and partnership opportunities
- Support appointment-setting beyond event sponsor ships and advertising initiatives
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events on OSPE’s behalf
- Represent OSPE professionally, build relationships, and gather qualified leads
- Conduct timely follow-up on event-generated leads to convert them into meetings
- Collaborate with the Partnership Lead to identify and support cross-sell opportunities
- Assist with joint outreach initiatives and partner-driven prospecting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Hub Spot, including:
- Notes, tasks, and activity tracking
- Support sales handover and transition processes as OSPE prepares for upcoming team changes
- Number of qualified meetings booked per month
- Lead quality and conversion from outreach and events
- Accuracy and consistency of CRM data and reporting
- Collaboration effectiveness with OSPE leadership and CANRev team members

- Base Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 CAD, commensurate with experience
