Job Description

Responsibilities

As a Truck/Trailer Mechanic, your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Complete work orders and related documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work evenings, from 3:30 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday.
  • Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure repairs are completed on time. Stay up-to-date with industry standards and new technologies in the heavy‑dui vehicle mechanics field.
  • We offer a $2,000 signing bonus, distributed as follows: $500 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months, and $1,000 after 12 months of employment. In addition, we offer an annual $500 tool allowance to support your professional development and ensure you have the necessary equipment to excel in your role.
Qualifications
  • Be knowledgeable with heavy vehicle mechanics or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 3 or more years of mechanical experience would be an asset.
  • Supply your own tools.
  • Knowledge of air brake systems.
  • Familiarity with electronic diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items and work in various positions.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and customers.
  • Work evenings (3:30 p.m. to midnight) Monday – Friday.
