Day Shift position ; schedules available :
4x3 - 5x2 - 7x7 - 14x14

Hourly rate: up to $47.01/hour depending on experience

  • Your role :

  • Analyze breakdowns and failures, assess the nature of the repairs, with a view to carrying out repairs where necessary.
  • Produce a clear and complete repair report, finding the cause of failure for each problem
    encountered.
  • Order parts required for repairs.
  • Adjust, repair and/or replace defective parts using hand or power tools.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure that it works and that repairs comply with manufacturer's requirements.
  • Clean, lubricate equipment and perform routine maintenance.
  • Respect established repair times.
  • Notify immediate supervisor and/or customer of all repairs required on units.
  • Work in a safe manner.
  • Clean work area and maintain shop equipment in good condition.
  • Follow Service Department policies and procedures.
  • Attend training sessions as required.
  • When work is completed, sign work order to authorize billing, credit unused parts and assemble all required documents: external purchase, etc., and forward to supervisor.
  • Must always evaluate the impact of discussions with customers on the performance of products sold by
    SMS Equipment.
  • Assemble machines as required.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • What you bring :

  • The successful candidate will possess a Heavy Equipment Technician Certification. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years experience,
  • Autonomous
  • Resourceful
  • Conscientious in his work
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Valid driver's license
