Purpose Of RoleReporting to the Senior Field Engineer, the Field Geotech will assist the project by running projects to support site. The work environment provides diverse experience working with various professionals from different departments with responsibilities outside and in‑office.
This role will be located at the Copper World Project, approximately 45 minutes southwest of Tucson near Sahuarita, Arizona.
Role Accountabilities- Support the senior field engineer with the various projects by coordinating with contractors and mine personnel to accomplish projects.
- Independently perform routine work such as identifying geotechnical hazards, site inspections and reports, collecting and assessing geotechnical data, and coordinating with staff and consultants.
- Field work consists of logging core and test pits, structure and surface geology mapping, survey verification, inventory validation, and cutting core.
- Assist with QA/QC of geotechnical data and identifying data discrepancies.
- Provide support on projects related to the geotechnical program.
- Complete workplace examinations identifying geotechnical hazards.
- Proficient with MS Office, related software, and computers.
- Ability to travel to and from site is required.
- Strong communication and team skills are required.
- Previous experience at a mine site is preferred.
- Experience with monitoring platforms, Mine Plan, Propeller and other related software.

Employee will be expected to drive a company vehicle, rental vehicle and/or his/her own vehicle in the course of performing the job, Employee must be able to perform the physical functions of operating a motor vehicle, including use of eyes, ears, arms, hands, legs, and feet.
