Salary: $50,602 to $101,204 Per Year

Barstow Memorial School seeks an enthusiastic, innovative, and collaborative elementary teacher to fill a vacancy beginning August 2026.

Applicants must demonstrate: knowledge in current instructional research and exemplary practices; a student‑centered focus; an integrated approach to curriculum and instruction; willingness to be flexible and creative regarding instruction and assessment; exemplary oral and written communication skills; effectiveness in building rapport with students; and communication with parents and students.

• Meet basic competencies and qualifications of the endorsement(s) per Vermont regulations.
• Commitment to the success of all students.
• Use a variety of approaches to establish a safe and caring classroom community.
• Knowledge of best practices for school‑wide student management protocols (Responsive Classroom, Multi‑Tier Support System, PBIS).
• Deep understanding of social and emotional learning.
• Create a trauma‑sensitive classroom.
• Integrate technology into the learning environment.
• Communicate and collaborate with parents, community members, and businesses.
• Use formative assessment to provide student feedback and adjust lesson delivery.
• Demonstrate excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written, and oral communication and collaboration skills.
• Interact respectfully and collegially with colleagues as part of a collaborative team.
• Maintain records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.

• Holds or eligible to hold a Vermont Teaching License with elementary education endorsement.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
