Description

We are seeking a passionate and collaborative Director of Voices Against Violence to provide strategic leadership for one of the region’s most impactful survivor advocacy organizations. This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated team, strengthen community partnerships, and help shape the future of services for survivors throughout Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. At Voices Against Violence, we believe everyone deserves to live free from violence and abuse.

For more than 40 years, we have worked to empower survivors, educate communities, and prevent sexual violence, domestic violence, and stalking through direct services, community education, advocacy, and systems change. As a key leader within CVOEO, the Director of Voices Against Violence will guide organizational strategy, foster innovation, and champion efforts that advance safety, equity, and justice for survivors. This role oversees operations, staff development, financial management, fundraising, community engagement, and program planning while ensuring high-quality, survivor-centered services.

Salary $80,622–$84,808 based on experience.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in human services area (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Social Work Administration). Bachelor’s degree with appropriate experience and training may be considered.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in supervision of staff, fiscal management, and administration.
  • Experience in trauma-informed work.
  • Must be able to lead through both strong people and strong operations skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required; bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • A highly motivated and responsible individual with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people in a non‑judgmental, positive and competent manner.
  • Must be willing to work within the philosophy of the program and agency.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Experience in a crisis prevention program, especially working in the area of domestic violence preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, observational, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience in grant writing and fiscal management.
  • Experience in community organizing is preferred.
