NMC is currently recruiting ICU RNs for night shift. The positions are full-time (72 hours bi-weekly), generally 7a-7:30p and every other weekend.

Hiring Range: $33.00 to $47.44 USD
Job SummaryThe RN plans and implements nursing care for patients in the ICU, according to established policies and procedures while performing direct patient care for patients of all age groups and under a wide variety of circumstances.
Pre-requisitesEducation: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Vermont
Experience: At least one year of clinical experience preferred
Certifications
Required:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Reports To: Nurse Manager & Nurse Director
Other Contacts: Shift administrator, physicians, patients, families, visitors, public, forensic staff, hospital staff, and other healthcare practitioners
Scope & EquipmentMachinery or Equipment Used: Patient monitoring devices, IV pumps, patient transport devices, needles/syringes, computer, basic office equipment, and other patient care equipment
Physical Demands: occasional sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, crouching, overhead reaching, and awkward positions. Frequent twisting, bending, squatting, stooping, reaching and pushing/pulling. Constant standing and walking
Working Conditions: Exposure to crisis situations and unpleasant elements of acute traumatic injuries, accidents and illness. Frequently exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases. Exposed to hazards from electrical equipment. Occasionally subjected to irregular hours and stress/pressure due to multiple patient needs
Protective Equipment: All Personal Protective Equipment and situation and patient condition dictates
Essential Functions- Incorporates appropriate assessment and intervention skills in all interactions and delivery of nursing care including safety & protection; assessment; intervention skills; evaluation; equipment use and management
- Communicates with patients, team members, and management in an accurate and timely manner evidenced by talks with and listening to patients/team members; reports pertinent, concise information with applicable follow-up; completes timely, accurate clinical documentation/order entry; protects confidentiality of patient/colleagues
- Applies critical thinking skills and utilizes best practices and current research. Organizes multitask workload; prioritizes and customizes patient plan of care; appropriately seeks assistance; collects/integrates data from patient and/or multiple sources; organizes/delivers care for multiple patient assignment
- Develops and maintains human care relationships; adapts care management for diverse populations and environment; advocates for needs of patients and/or families; provides care in ethical and legal manner; refers concerns/issues to appropriate resources; collaborates with all members of the multidisciplinary care team; demonstrates a therapeutic relationship for patients well being
