Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Locum Tenens | Day shift hours 7a–3p with Late Room option 7a–5p; call coverage 3p–7a; approximately one call shift per week with a 30-minute call response requirement
Key Responsibilities:
Provide anesthesia services across a broad range of surgical specialties including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Endoscopy, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, and Plastics.
Perform spinals, blocks, and epidurals — proficiency in all three regional techniques is required.
Support OB cases including C-sections and VBACs at a Level 3 Trauma Center.
Operate within a supervised anesthesia model (approximately 60% supervision) alongside a team of five providers across five ORs.
Participate in on-call rotation (approximately one call shift per week) with a 30-minute response time requirement.
Document cases using the Medaxion EMR system.
Required Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted Vermont CRNA license — applications cannot be initiated without an active VT license.
DEA registration required.
ACLS certification through AHA required (no exceptions).
BLS certification through AHA required (no exceptions).
PALS certification through AHA required (no exceptions).
Clear background and malpractice history required; credentialing timeframe is approximately 60–90 days.
Case logs demonstrating proficiency in epidurals, spinals, and blocks required.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Experience in a Level 3 Trauma Center environment.
Familiarity with obstetric anesthesia including C-sections and VBACs.
Comfort working across a high-volume, multi-specialty surgical environment.
Prior experience with the Medaxion EMR system.
