Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
Camping World is seeking a Service Technician for our growing team. We are ideally looking for someone with advanced diagnostic and repair skills for Recreational Vehicle (RV) coach systems, generators, and coach body repairs. Someone who is passionate about fixing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and maintenance problems would be ideal. A successful Recreational Vehicle (RV) Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self‑motivated, and be well‑versed in all maintenance and repair tasks.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Provide and document complete diagnostic tests and repair or replacement services to customers.
- Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
- Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
- Keep supervisor apprised of work progress.
- Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by a supervisor or designee.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
- Certification from a college or technical school in a relevant trade field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is helpful, but applicable work experience is also considered.
- Minimum of 1‑year of service technician experience or related fields preferred.
- RVIA certification is helpful but not required.
- Exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment.
- Exposure to environmental conditions including heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices.
- Must furnish own hand/shop tools.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending are expected.
The pay range for this role is $22.00–$53.71 per hour. Compensation decisions are based on factors such as skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business needs.
