Diesel Truck Mechanic

We have an immediate opening available for a mechanic to join our team at our hub in St Albans, VT. This person will help maintain our fleet of Stewart’s owned trucks and trailers.

• Perform standard vehicles maintenance.
• Perform standard component inspections and repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Perform brake jobs, refrigeration, electronics, and minor welding.
• Diagnose and repair Diesel trucks including engine, drive line, suspension, and electrical problems.
• Identify root causes of basic failures, conditions and perform repairs as required.
• Perform tire replacements and identify tires that need to be changed or repaired.

• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Class A CDL or willingness to obtain is preferred, but not required.
• Refrigeration experience preferred, but not required.
• Trailer experience is a plus.
• Vermont state inspectors license preferred but not required.
• Dependable with a team player attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being safety conscious.
• Ability to be on your feet and do repetitive lifting for several consecutive hours.
• Ability to accomplish set goals and meet deadlines.

• Full time position available.
• Schedule is typically Monday-Friday 6am-4pm.
• Schedule can include some weekends and holidays.
• Shared on-call responsibility.
• Starting pay based of experience.

• Starting Pay: $26 - $32/hour.
