Are you an experienced and licensed clinician who enjoys leading, mentoring, and helping a team grow while continuing to provide meaningful direct services to children and families?

Northwestern Counseling & Support Services, Inc. is looking for a Children’s Outpatient Team Leader to provide clinical leadership, staff supervision, and day-to-day support to our Children’s Outpatient Team.

This is a great opportunity for a seasoned clinician who wants to combine clinical practice with leadership. You’ll serve as an important connection between staff and organizational leadership while helping ensure high-quality services, strong team development, and positive outcomes for the children and families we serve.

• Provide clinical supervision to unlicensed clinicians working toward licensure, including weekly individual and group supervision.
• Provide bi-weekly supervision to licensed clinicians.
• Maintain a direct caseload of approximately 8–12 clients.
• Provide ongoing guidance, support, and clinical leadership to team members, primarily on site.
• Help create a collaborative, cohesive team environment where staff feel supported, challenged, and empowered to grow.
• Support staff development through coaching, training, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
• Monitor service delivery, documentation, productivity, and quality standards.
• Use data and reporting tools to identify trends, solve problems, and improve team performance and service delivery.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance management, and staff development.
• Collaborate with leadership and community partners to strengthen services and outcomes.
• Promote compliance with agency policies, regulatory requirements, and clinical standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, services, and the overall client experience.

• Enjoys mentoring and developing other clinicians.
• Can provide thoughtful, effective clinical supervision.
• Communicates clearly and builds strong professional relationships.
• Uses sound judgment and problem‑solving skills.

• Master’s degree in an appropriate field, with related education, training, and experience.
• Professional licensure in good standing with the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and vehicle registration.
