WHEN you join the driving team at Capital City Auto Auction.

Capital City is looking for safety-oriented, detail-oriented Class A , B, or D drivers with a passion for driving, to transport cars to/from the auction facilities. We work hard to get you home with no more than three nights/week away from home.

• Pick up vehicles from one or multiple locations in a specified geographic area in accordance with Transportation Manager's instructions
• Before and after loading vehicle, inspect vehicles and record condition of vehicle
• Safely and responsibly load vehicle(s)
• Delivers vehicle(s) to one or multiple destsinations product or material to destination by identifying destination; selecting route; driving the vehicle.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance reporting; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment supplies;
• Maintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organization policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Capital City Auto Auction is hiring an Auto mechanic. Applicant should possess basic mechanical skills and be able to inspect vehicles for damage. Must have a valid driver license. It's a full time position that pays an hourly wage based on experience.

• Identify damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems by inspecting all repo/lease vehicles (i.e. interior, exterior, odometer reading, trunk area, engine compartment, noting any damage or repair to frame, paint or other, engine noise, AC/heater operation, radio, tire condition, etc.)
• Document vehicle condition by completing appropriate Condition Report (CR), taking digital pictures and computer data entry in a timely manner.
• Estimate repair costs according to appropriate auction guidelines.
• Prepare selected vehicles for Internet viewing by taking digital pictures during the inspection process and writing Condition reports.
• Maintain knowledge of current rates, labor and parts charges, and changes concerning vehicle requirements.
  
  - Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, including but not limited to locating and moving vehicles, starting and/or jump-starting vehicles, etc.
• May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.
• Other assignments or tasks as assigned. We believe in a team environment and “pitch in” performing any necessary tasks to make the company a success.
• Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record required
• Basic computer and tablet skills required. Familiarity with Apple iPads a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
