The Warehouse Clerk transports materials, work‑in‑process (WIP), and finished goods between STC’s three buildings safely and efficiently, supporting warehouse operations through cycle counting, accurate ERP transactions, material handling, and production support tasks. The role ensures accurate inventory, timely material flow, and strong communication across departments.
Essential Functions- Promote a culture of safety and quality and participate in training initiatives.
- Safely operate a company box truck to move materials, WIP, packaging, and finished goods between all STC locations.
- Follow scheduled transfer routes and respond to same‑day or urgent transport needs directed by supervisors.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand as required.
- Complete and verify all transfer documentation, including ERP/Visual transactions, accurately.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, and report maintenance needs immediately.
- Perform routine cycle counts to support accurate inventory management.
- Investigate count discrepancies and communicate findings to supervisor or inventory control personnel.
- Identify root causes of stock variances and improve material‑flow accuracy.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safe traffic flow.
- Participate in receiving tasks, including inbound shipments and staging materials.
- Coordinate transport and warehouse activities with production workers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel.
- Communicate delays, shortages, or issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a box truck.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely (training provided).
- High school diploma or comparable work experience.
- Capacity to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Detail‑oriented, with a focus on accuracy and data entry.
- Ability to work under pressure and lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation range: $37,500 – $56,300 annually, depending on experience, with eligibility for a performance‑based bonus plan. Work Environment & Physical Demands- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) or safety gear required.
- Combination of seated and standing work; walking for moderate to extended periods.
- Fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, and visual focus for detailed tasks.
- Exposure to repetitive motions; adaptive devices or reasonable accommodation may be provided.
- Manufacturing and production areas may be noisy, dusty, or warm; mandatory use of job‑specific PPE and machine guards.
- Occasional bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.; some duties involve pushing loaded carts.
- Deadlines, shifting priorities, and peak workloads may create a fast‑paced environment.
