Chapman Technical Group, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Survey Technician in St. Albans, WV.

Chapman Technical Group, a division of GRW Engineers, Inc. is a full-service engineering, architectural, landscape architectural, and geospatial consulting firm. The company provides engineering services to federal, state, municipal, and private industry clients. The Survey Technician will be responsible for determining precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, map making, land division, titles, or other purposes. Experience, skills and qualifications should include:

* Seeking an experienced Survey Technician or SIT (would consider training the right candidate).

* Experience in the field of surveying or related field is preferred.

* Experience with Topcon and/or Trimble Surveying equipment and data collection, Civil 3d or Carlson Survey is preferred.

* College and/or military experience preferred.

* Valid driver's license required.

* A strong willingness to learn and be part of a team is a must.

* Pay scale commensurate with experience.

Job requires daily travel and, at times, overnight stays. The successful applicant will assist the survey team and other staff members, as needed, in the performance of surveying tasks as they relate to company projects. Duties may include survey equipment maintenance and operation, driving, carrying heavy loads, working in inclement weather, CAD and assisting other office staff as needed.

Surveying Projects may include, but not limited to, boundary surveys and project related boundary resolution, water and wastewater systems surveys, storm water management surveys, control networks and site control, topographic and site development surveys, FEMA Elevations Certificates, ALTA surveys and airport surveys.
