The Exercise Planner reports to and receives work direction derivatives from the Project Manager. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Coordinating development, synchronization, conduct, and control of AITEC exercises.

* Managing all aspects of exercise coordination including scheduling, writing, budget, and facilitating planning conferences.

* Providing oversight to the development of realistic exercise scenarios that lead the training audience to achieve their training objectives.

* Providing progress reports to the Government during the planning phase and participate in planning meetings as required.

* Managing the development of after-action reports and follow-on exercise improvement tasks.

* Serving as a Technical Subject Matter Expert and provide support of operations at a variety of training events and exercises on required subjects within the scope of training.

* Coordinating with external agencies for research support and curriculum development such as other National Guard units;
Federal, State, and local agencies; the NGB, and other Department of Defense agencies.

* Participating in planning conferences with the Government as needed to meet mission planning requirements. Work Environment:
* Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).

* Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

* Ability to work in remote and rural environments. Physical Demands:
* While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.

* Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

* Ability to drive a motor vehicle in environments including city, highway, and rural roads CONUS and OCONUS.
