Overview
Are you driven to make a real difference in children’s lives? Join our dedicated team as a Support Worker at our children’s home, and work to create a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels secure, valued, and loved.
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a full‑time Support Worker to join our team in St Albans. You will work a mixture of early shifts from 7am – 3pm, late shifts from 2pm – 10pm, as well as alternating weekends. You will support four children and young people with learning disabilities in all aspects of their daily lives, bringing good humour and resilience to make each day both enjoyable and meaningful.
Tasks include getting them ready for school, preparing meals, assisting with household chores, maintaining personal care and medication schedules, and ensuring a safe, welcoming home environment when they return from school. During school holidays and weekends you will organise and participate in outings such as visiting the beach, theme parks, or other activities that match each child’s interests. You will also help develop the children’s confidence and life skills and may pursue a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
