The Department of Human Services has an exciting opportunity for an Office Services Coordinator to join their team. This position is responsible for office support and coordination for the team, for day-to-day operations as well as project support.
The Office Services Coordinator will work in the Human Services offices in St. Ann and will work Monday - Friday day hours. The starting hourly salary will be between $18.07 - $26.21 and will be based on experience and qualifications.

Be advised that this position is funded in‑part or wholly through an established grant agreement. Employment in this position is subject to the availability of grant funds. The position may be modified, reduced, or eliminated based on the terms of the grant agreement(s) and the level of funding available to carry out the intent(s) of such grant(s).
Essential Function Examples- Handle incoming calls, manage correspondence (mail, emails), file records, and prepare documents.
- Provide administrative support to the Program Division Managers.
- Perform complex administrative and clerical tasks related to the operation of the Human Services Programs.
- Compose correspondence on behalf of the Division Managers and prepare reports and summaries, often of a highly sensitive nature.
- Prepare memos, correspondence, forms, charts, tables and technical and/or confidential reports and summaries.
- Schedule, coordinate and confirm appointments, services, meetings and travel arrangements.
- Interpret, explain and apply County Department standards, policies and procedures.
- Respond to complex or unusual questions from the general public
- Complete purchasing documentation for division
- Submit work requests for division
- Submit ESC tickets on behalf of the division
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Equivalent to four years of professional work experience in a general office environment.
- Prefer public sector and customer service experience.
- A current, valid driver's license is also required.
The selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant, which will include recentness and appropriateness of the applicant's education and experience, answers to the supplemental questions, results of employment references investigated and any other appropriate information available.
The selection committee will admit to the interview only those persons who possess the most job‑related qualifications and may establish admittance criteria beyond the minimum qualifications stated above. The interview will comprise 100% of the applicant's earned grade. A candidate must earn a qualifying grade of 70 or more on the interview to be eligible for appointment. After initial interviews with the selected candidates are conducted, an email will be sent to the address on file with instructions on how to complete and submit a Conviction Questionnaire.
Candidates have 3 days to complete the required questionnaire.
The five top ranking candidates, based on the final grade, will be certified to the Department Director/Appointing Authority who will make the final decision.
All applicants conditionally offered a merit position will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Screening will be performed by a reputable clinical laboratory. The cost of screening will be covered by the County.
