Job Title

Early Learning Lead Teacher

Position Overview

St. Ann Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith‑filled Early Learning Lead Teacher to lead a preschool/pre‑kindergarten classroom. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing, Christ‑centered environment that supports the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional development of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood standards and Catholic values
  • Integrate faith‑based teachings, prayer, and Christian values into daily classroom activities
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Observe, assess, and document student progress and developmental milestones
  • Lead and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
  • Maintain compliance with state licensing and school policies
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student growth and classroom updates
  • Collaborate with faculty and administration to support the mission of the school
  • Participate in school liturgies, events, and professional development opportunities
  • Open to taking on additional classroom aide opportunities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Valid teaching license/certification
  • Practicing Catholic preferred, or willingness to support the mission of Catholic education
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of early childhood teaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of child development and early learning best practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • BCI and FBI background checks and fingerprinting required
  • Virtus Course Completion
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with early childhood curriculum frameworks
  • Ability to incorporate religious education into daily instruction in age‑appropriate ways
