Job Description
Our Plasma Center Nurse (Medical Support Specialist) supports plasma center operations as part of Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self‑exclusion.
- Perform medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing and review serological protein electrophoresis results.
- Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including standing orders and donor transport to emergency care.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents, determine further evaluation needs by occupational health or EHS, and refer to EHS guidance.
- Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalence of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

CompensationU.S. Hourly Wage Range: $33.44 – $45.98. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
