Job Description

This role involves supporting plasma center operations as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). Key responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory results, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis results.
• Evaluate donor reactions, follow SOPs for medical emergencies, and coordinate with the Center Physician for standing orders and donor transport.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance, including donor safety and eligibility issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate evaluation with occupational health or ER, following EHS guidance.
• Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate-equivalent recognized nursing program and state licensure.
• Current EMT-Paramedic license or equivalent in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Basic IV therapy credentials as required by the state of licensure.
• Completion of FDA‑approved Bio Life Medical Support Specialist training.
• At least two years of clinical or hospital experience.

U.S. hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98.
