Job SummaryThe Procurement Manager will oversee purchasing, sourcing, and supply chain to acquire goods/services at the best value, focusing on cost, quality, and reliability through supplier negotiation, contract management, strategic sourcing, risk mitigation, budget adherence, and process improvement, while managing procurement teams and aligning activities with business goals. Key responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, managing vendor relationships, ensuring policy compliance, and driving efficiency in the entire procurement lifecycle from planning to payment.
Whatyou will be doing
- Develop sourcing strategies, conduct market research, and align procurement with business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers; negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing; manage ongoing vendor relationships.
- Oversee the entire procurement process (RFPs, POs, receiving, payment) and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Focus on cost reduction, best value for money, and maximizing ROI.
- Supervise, train, and delegate tasks to procurement staff.
- Mitigate supply chain risks, manage budgets, monitor performance, and ensure quality.
- Work with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Legal) to understand needs and integrate procurement.
Required Education/Experience
:
Minimum five (5) years experience in a related field.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
:
- Bachelor s degree in supply chain, procurement, finance, or business preferred.
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) preferred.
- Prior experience with manufacturing ERP system, SAP preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to review and understand business agreements and documents.
- Proficient in conducting business with all departments and vendors.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Prior experience in a leadership role preferred.
