Description

The Behavioral Sciences Department of Flagler College is seeking a part‑time instructor to teach an undergraduate Criminology course in Homeland Security. All courses are taught on campus (not online) in downtown St. Augustine, FL. The instructor’s primary responsibilities are to create an active learning environment that supports students in developing their understanding of course material.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in the teaching subject. In exceptional cases, outstanding professional experience and demonstrated contributions to the teaching discipline may be presented in lieu of formal academic preparation. Such cases must be justified by the institution on an individual basis.
  • Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit good judgment in making decisions concurrent with college policy.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all constituents.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and knowledge of course content.
