Description
The Behavioral Sciences Department of Flagler College is seeking apart-time instructor to teach an undergraduate Criminology coursein Homeland Security. All our courses are taught on campus (NOTONLINE) in downtown St. Augustine, FL. The instructor’s primary responsibilities are to create an active learning environment that supports students in developing their understanding of coursematerial.
Qualifications- Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in teaching subject. Inexceptional cases, outstanding professional experience and demonstrated contributions to the teaching discipline may bepresented in lieu of formal academic preparation. Such cases mustbe justified by the institution on an individual basis.
- Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit good judgment in making decisions concurrent with college policy.
- Ability to work cooperatively with all constituents
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and knowledge of course content
