Chipton-Ross is seeking a Tool Engineer 2 for a contract opportunity in Saint Augustine, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related discipline) with 2-5 years' experience.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and tooling development.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage priorities to meet schedule commitments.
Looking for an Engineer Tool 2 to support our Tool Integration & Offload department.
This role supports the design, development, procurement, fabrication, and sustainment of manufacturing tooling and equipment to meet production, quality, cost, and schedule objectives. Responsibilities typically include developing tool concepts and detailed designs, releasing drawings/requirements, supporting tool build and prove-out, coordinating with Manufacturing/Quality/Suppliers, troubleshooting tooling issues on the shop floor, and driving continuous improvement and standard work.
Responsibilities:Designs industrial machinery and equipment, tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and machine attachments required for production or experimental use, considering such factors as accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):- Experience with CAD and drawing release practices.
- Experience supporting production operations.
- Experience with tool prove-out, root cause/corrective action, and continuous improvement.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related discipline) is required. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:4/10 workweek. 6 AM - 4:30 PM. This position will serve on-site at Saint Augustine, Fl.
