Engineer Tool 2
This role supports the design, development, procurement, fabrication, and sustainment of manufacturing tooling and equipment to meet production, quality, cost, and schedule objectives. Responsibilities typically include developing tool concepts and detailed designs, releasing drawings/requirements, supporting tool build and prove-out, coordinating with Manufacturing/Quality/Suppliers, troubleshooting tooling issues on the shop floor, and driving continuous improvement and standard work.
Responsibilities Designs industrial machinery and equipment, tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and machine attachments required for production or experimental use, considering such factors as accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements.
Basic Qualifications for Engineer Tool 2 Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related discipline) with applicable experience; ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications; experience with manufacturing processes and tooling development; ability to work cross-functionally and manage priorities to meet schedule commitments.
Preferred Qualifications for Engineer Tool 2 Experience with CAD and drawing release practices; experience supporting production operations; experience with tool prove-out, root cause/corrective action, and continuous improvement.
