Primary Purpose
The Emergency Preparedness Planner will be a civilian position that is to be a representative of the SJSO that will develop partnerships and liaison with all County, State and Federal agencies to develop and improve disaster plans and response to unusual or emergency incidents. The Emergency Preparedness Planner position will ensure SJSO remains in a state of operational readiness by appropriately planning, developing partnerships with other agencies, ensuring all SJSO equipment remains operational and needed equipment is identified for potential procurement during events.
The Emergency Preparedness Planner position will improve readiness plans and coordination among all SJSO divisions and special teams.
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Valid Florida Driver License
- Familiarity of SJSO Policy and Procedures
- Good understanding of Incident Command System
