FunctionsThis position promotes a positive, person-centered teaching and training environment that fosters growth and development for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and behavioral concerns. The role includes direct supervision and training of care staff to ensure consistent, respectful, and effective implementation of individualized goals and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Ensuring all direct care staff understand and accurately implement person-centered plans, individual goals, and behavioral support strategies in alignment with regulatory standards.
- Providing respectful, constructive training, feedback, and disciplinary actions to direct care staff to maintain high standards of care and compliance.
- Coordinating and monitoring staff interactions and program implementation to promote meaningful goal achievement and positive outcomes for residents.
- Maintaining a safe, high-quality environment that supports the residents’ well‑being and quality of life.
- Upholding compliance with all relevant regulations and standards to ensure ethical and effective care practices.
By fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, this position ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care that respects and enhances the lives of the individuals served.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Pass a level II DCF background check.
- 3 References.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Freedom from illegal use of drugs.
- Freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Education And/or
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience working with a dependent population or an associate’s degree and 2 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree.
- Certification in CPR and First aid, kept current.

Qualification:
Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Have excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills and have an ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
