Position: Transition Specialist - Project Manager| UF Health Ambulatory Services

Overview

The Transition Specialist - Project Manager collaborates with the Multi‑Specialty Physician Network (MSPN) and Ambulatory Market Leadership to facilitate, organize, develop, and manage initiatives. This position leads all activities related to the successful implementation of new programs, services, renovations, expansions, and special projects across MSPN.

This role supports multiple markets and requires travel to Gainesville, Central Florida, North Florida, Jacksonville, St. Johns County, and Leesburg.

Qualifications
  • Required Education
    :
    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Preferred Education
    :
    Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, MPH) or Graduate Certificate in Project/Change Management.
  • Required Licensure/Certification s:
    Valid Florida or Georgia Driver License with a clean record, or violations not exceeding maximum points as provided in hospital policy.
  • Preferred Licensure/Certification s: PMP, CAPM, or other recognized project management certification.
  • Required Experience
    : 5+ years leading complex, multi‑stakeholder projects in ambulatory care or healthcare operations (e.g., new sites, expansions, service line launches); experience developing implementation manuals, SOPs, policies, and standardized workflows; working knowledge of clinical operations including staffing models, scheduling templates, supply management, and infection control fundamentals.
  • Preferred Experience
    :
    Experience coordinating credentialing and enrollment (Medical Staff Services, payer enrollment, PECOS/CAQH familiarity); revenue cycle knowledge including billing setup, NPI taxonomy, charge capture considerations; budget management experience including capital and operating expense oversight.
