Overview
The EMR, Training Specialist I, in support of their assigned Epic application(s) and across all UF Health locations, participates in new and ongoing training initiatives. This role provides efficient and effective Epic training and education related to system upgrades, new projects, new user onboarding, and ongoing support. The Training Specialist collaborates closely with Principal and Certified Trainers, Super Users, and end users to ensure successful knowledge transfer and adoption.
The Training Specialist is expected to have a working understanding of Epic system functionality and/or departmental workflows as they relate to the supported application(s). Strong planning, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet customer and operational needs.
While the Training Specialist primarily supports one service area or location, they may be required to provide training and application support at any UF Health location based on organizational needs and direction from leadership.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
Education and Experience: An Associate’s Degree (AA or AS) from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required experience.
Necessary SkillsLicensure/Certification s
- Epic Credentialed Trainer status in the supported application within six (6) months of hire or transfer into the position.
