Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our Free‑Standing Emergency Department location located in St. Augustine. This is a PRN Night shift opportunity. A Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory or breathing disorders, administering respiratory therapy treatments, performing diagnostic pulmonary function tests, managing and monitoring mechanical ventilators, and providing patient education and respiratory care support.

The Respiratory Therapist collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver safe, effective, and high‑quality patient care.

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with breathing disorders
• Administer respiratory therapies
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests
• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes
• Maintain accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation

• Certificate required
• Associate of Science preferred
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• FL DOH required
• One of the following certifications required within 6 months of hire:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
