Overview
This is a PRN Position. Performs diagnostic medical sonograms, maintains patient records, answers phone calls related to the department and initial report, and is responsible for the assigned area.
Qualifications- Age of Patients Served:
All Age Groups. - Required
Education:
Vocational Training—graduate of an allied healthcare program. - Necessary
Skills:
Knowledge of modern diagnostic sonography; communicate procedures to patients. - Required Licensure/
Certifications:- Sonography certification from ARDMS or ARRT.
- BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Effective Nov 1, 2022:
Within one year of hire or transfer, obtain one of the following vascular certifications:- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from CCI.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS.
- Vascular Sonography from ARRT.
- For employees assigned to cost centers FSED New Kings (713300), FSED Lane Avenue (713301), FSED Bay meadows (713302), a vascular certification (RVS, RVT, or Vascular Sonography) is required at hire or transfer.
- Required Experience:
Less than one year. - Preferred Experience:
One year performing general, vascular, and OB/GYN sonography.
Licensure/Certification s
Sonography certification and vascular certification at hire or transfer.
