What you will do as a Front office Medical Assistant:
The Front office Medical Assistant will provide excellent customer service in the behavioral health care environment assisting adults and/or families accessing services. This is a dual role of Front Office patient care specialist (majority) and a CMA (when needed). We are looking for a flexible motivated candidate with a 'can-do' attitude
. Experience in a medical office and an active CMA are required.
This is a full-time position at 40 hours weekly and includes the following responsibilities:
- Performing administrative tasks that require knowledge of medical terminology and processes
- Heavy Phone Traffic
- Setting and confirming appointments for patients
- Inputting data into EHR for health record accurately
- Helping patients fill out medical history forms
- Updating medical records and managing record management for the practice
- Answering phones by the second ring-Greeting clients as the arrive
- Performing professional, kind, and caring customer service
- Consistently upbeat and helpful to clients and staff
- Centralized Scheduling, backfill cancelled appointments
- Collect co-pays, payments both credit card and cash
- Able to follow established procedures.
- Required to work some early evening hours
- Be able to cover multiple locations when needed (Bunnell to Palencia)
- Conduct drug screens at office
- Performing Medical Assistant Tasks (Vitals, etc)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- CMA or RMA (required)
- Experience in a medical office (scheduling, billing, customer service and phones)-Required
- Dependability - Required
- Motivated, organized, and compassionate
- Able to multi-task
- Dependable
- Computer experience and EMR experience required
- Current valid driver’s license in the State of Florida
- Level 2 background screen and a negative drug screen []
- Professional References
- Must have reliable transportation to our St. Augustine Campus and/or Bunnell Campuses.
