Position: Human Resources Specialist (Talent Management)

Summary

The HR Specialist is a core member of the ACIT Division HR team, providing support and guidance to management and employees across recruitment, retention, performance management, employee engagement, development initiatives, goal setting, and succession planning. The specialist partners with leaders and other HR professionals to deliver programs that strengthen culture, build workforce capability, and drive success for the organization.

Essential Job Functions
  • Partners with HR team to implement and administer talent programs such as performance management, talent calibration, succession planning, and career development.
  • Supports execution on talent and succession planning and development activities with HR and managers.
  • Coordinates training programs, workshops, and learning opportunities to develop employee skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Tracks and analyzes talent metrics to inform workforce planning and program effectiveness, and provides data‑driven decision making.
  • Assists in designing and executing initiatives that promote employee engagement, well‑being, and retention.
  • Partners with HR and marketing to strengthen ACIT’s employer brand, develop recruitment collateral, and establish relationships with technical schools and other talent sources.
  • Supports recognition programs, communications strategies, and culture‑building activities.
  • Provides ACIT‑wide development support including mentoring programs, career pathways, and individual development plans; owns the ACIT internship program.
  • Conducts stay and exit interviews, data analysis, and trend identification for improvement.
  • Assists with evaluation of critical roles, high‑potential employees, and readiness levels.
  • Identifies training needs for sites and coaching requirements, and delivers coaching and feedback to employees and leaders.
  • Designs, coordinates, and delivers in‑person and virtual training programs across the organization, including leadership development, compliance training, skill‑building workshops, and onboarding modules.
  • Assesses learning needs through surveys, interviews, performance data, and leadership collaboration to identify skill gaps and development priorities.
  • Develops training materials such as presentations, facilitator guides, process guides, and e‑learning modules for internal audiences.
  • Manages the Learning Management System by uploading courses, tracking participation, and maintaining accurate talent records; manages ACIT‑wide required compliance trainings and supports plant‑specific trainings as needed.
  • Sources and coordinates external training vendors.
  • Performs other duties as required to support the department and company.
Supervisor Responsibilities

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but serves as a coach and mentor for other employees.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, business, or related field or five (5) years of related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM‑CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM‑SCP), or a talent management credential is a strong plus.

Language Skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Job Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
