About the Job

We're looking for an HR Manager who will run day-to-day HR operations — from hands-on administration to program management across the employee lifecycle. You'll report directly to an executive, executing people initiatives, keeping the company compliant, and continuously improving our HR processes, practices, and approaches. On strategic and financial matters (benefits, compensation structure, total rewards, and similar), you'll bring well-researched recommendations and options to leadership, who will make the final call.

The core mission of this role centers around talent — and everything we need to attract, develop, and retain it. This position helps lead change, nurture a positive work environment, and shepherd Company culture and Core Values through the execution of initiatives within the HR department and company-wide.

Who You Are

You are a leader who understands the value excellent people operations bring to a business and how to create that value across the spectrum of HR responsibilities. You exemplify our values and ensure they're executed across all people operations — without getting hung up on unnecessary bureaucracy. You value tolerance, meritocracy and consistency, executing with the highest integrity at all times.

Being discreet, thoughtful and thorough is a given in all you do. You are an executor, and are comfortable achieving a lot with a small team. You excel at allocating your attention to initiatives that bring the biggest impact, without skipping on details.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide HR support and guidance to employees and management. Analyze employee metrics and propose solutions to enhance people operations
  • Implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal/state/local employment laws, recommending updates and best practices to leadership, including maintenance of the Team Member Handbook
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and offboarding, with a continuous improvement approach
  • Execute talent acquisition efforts and recommend improvements to sourcing/hiring approach. Manage end-to-end recruitment for all hires (internships, temps, FTEs) including creating JDs, marketing open roles, running the interview process, and managing recruiting/temp firms
  • Maintain the performance management system, including individual performance plans and succession plans. Implement best practices, ensure all leaders are trained, and all employees receive regular feedback and annual reviews
  • Lead the handling of employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality, investigating issues and proposing resolutions; partner with leadership on final decisions for complex or higher-risk matters
  • Administer total rewards programs (PTO, benefits, employee perks, etc.). Research market benchmarks and program options, and bring recommendations to leadership/Finance for benefits plan design, enrollments, and renewals (health plans, 401(k), corporate insurance policies, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Finance to process biweekly payroll
  • Administer various HR software systems and maintain accurate employee records
  • Conduct competitive market wage analysis and recommend salary structure updates for leadership approval, ensuring compliance with ACA, FMLA, and IRS employee benefits rules
  • Recommend and manage internal training programs and related grants. Support ISO-9001 compliance
  • Coordinate IT access provisioning and de-provisioning as part of onboarding and offboarding (e.g., account setup/deactivation and equipment issuance/return), partnering with IT as needed
Benefits
  • Multiple medical plan options plus dental and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with a 3% annual employer contribution
  • Generous time off (exceeding 11 observed holidays)
  • Paid parental leave
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • 6-8+ years progressive experience in a fast-paced HR role, with at least 3+ years of advanced experience, and comfort with:
    • processing multi-state payroll
    • benefits program administration (medical, dental, vision, 401K)
    • total rewards development
    • talent acquisition and recruiting
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in labor relations and compliance,…
