Our Organization And MissionThe five Regional Counsel offices were created by the Legislature pursuant to Section 27.511, Fla. Stat. in 2007 to provide legal representation to indigent persons in criminal conflict cases where the Public Defender has a conflict or in cases where there are multiple co-defendants. The Office of Regional Counsel Office, Fifth District (RC5) serves 4 judicial circuits and 13 counties, including Hernando County.
Criminal Defense Attorney - The Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, 5th District (RC5), is seeking a full time criminal defense attorney in our St. Augustine, St. Johns County Office. This is an entry level / starting position defending juvenile delinquency and misdemeanor cases and graduating to third degree felonies. Perfect for a new attorney. The primary objective of the attorney is to provide the most effective representation possible for indigent clients.
Must be a member in good standing with The Florida Bar or scheduled to take the February 2026 Bar exam.
