Job SummaryThe Cast House Manager manages and directs all aluminum casting operations, including melting, casting, and sawing, to meet production goals while ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and maintenance standards. As a key member of the plant leadership team, the Cast House Manager is a strategic partner to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities- Drive safety so it is ingrained in the cast house culture.
- Own performance management evaluation for the cast house team.
- Hold subordinates accountable for their responsibilities.
- Maintain current training records for direct and indirect reporting employees.
- Maximize scrap utilization and minimize prime utilization.
- Ensure cast house quality for internal and external customers – monitor metal chemistry.
- Guarantee on‑time delivery to next internal and external customers.
- Maintain cast house productivity and execution of standard processes and procedures.
- Accurately report the Daily Activity Report (DAR).
- Embed continuous improvement into workforce culture.
- Resolve problems and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare monthly spending budget and long‑term capital plans.
- Develop action plans for large events.
- Maintain good relationships with Central Metals Group.
- Maintain training records and annual training checklist.
- Complete annual reviews of JSA’s and LTV procedures.
- Plan cast house staffing.
- Develop cast house supervisors and team leaders.
- Support continuous reliability improvement standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years in aluminum casting, extrusion, or related industry.
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or equivalent (preferred).
- Bi‑lingual (preferred).
