Electrical Assembler I
Position within Amphenol CIT. Under general supervision, responsible for performing simple cable assembly operations to build high‑quality cables, wire harnesses and integrated products for the aerospace industry.
Pay: $17 per hour, increasing to $18+ per hour after certification.
Responsibilities- Build simple point‑to‑point wire/fiber cables following drawings and instructions to a high level of quality and productivity.
- Demonstrate proper use of basic hand tools: heat gun, hand crimpers, power screwdriver, solder pot, ruler and other machines such as pinning machines and automatic wire strippers.
- Identify wires using basic color code sequence.
- Complete all necessary paperwork relating to the building of cable assemblies.
- Consistently demonstrate the sound knowledge required by Assembler I training.
- Ensure that the workstation is clean, organized and free of hazardous materials.
- Follow all factory safety procedures and guidelines.
- Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner to protect oneself, others, products, materials and company assets.
- Use production tools and equipment appropriately.
- Meet production results and follow priorities to ensure on‑time completion of tasks.
- Maintain integrity, foster teamwork, and accomplish job goals.
- Respond to audible alarms for building evacuation and equipment issues.
- Communicate in English, written and verbal.
- Perform physical tasks: standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing/pulling, handling and feeling. Independently lift, carry, and wield up to 50 pounds; lift and move, with mechanical lifts or rolling, 100 pounds or more. Work at heights and around moving machinery.
- Must have physical dexterity, good vision, eye‑hand coordination and ability to distinguish colors.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year related experience preferred.
- Previous soldering experience.
- Ability to measure accurately using a ruler or tape measure.
- Mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using all units of measure.
- Ability to track and record production results.
- Good vision, eye‑hand coordination, color discrimination.
- Physical dexterity.
- Must be able to hear audible alarms and take appropriate action.
- Must be able to communicate in English; written and verbal.

Legal RequirementsThe position includes potential access to ITAR and/or EAR technical data. Candidates must qualify as a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or permanent resident).

Work EnvironmentClean facility housing machinery and equipment with potential hazards such as ergonomic stress, chemicals, machine operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. Personal protective equipment (hearing protection, safety glasses, safety toe shoes, hand protection) may be required.
