ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Build simple point‑to‑point wire/fiber cables following drawings and instructions to a high level of quality and productivity.
- Demonstrate proper use of basic hand tools: heat gun, hand crimpers, power screwdriver, solder pot, ruler and other machines such as pinning machines and automatic wire strippers.
- Identify wires using basic color code sequence.
- Complete all necessary paperwork relating to the building of cable assemblies.
- Consistently demonstrate sound knowledge required by Assembler I training.
- Keep workstation clean, organized and free of hazardous materials.
- Follow factory safety procedures and guidelines.
- Track and record production results and follow priorities to ensure on‑time completion of tasks.
- Perform all tasks safely and efficiently to protect oneself, others and company assets.
- Operate with a high degree of integrity to foster teamwork and accomplish job goals.
- Maintain physical dexterity, good vision, eye–hand coordination and ability to distinguish colors for safety codes.
- Be able to handle loud alarms and equipment noises to avoid scrap.
- Communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).
- Perform physical demands including lifting up to 100 pounds with mechanical assistance and working at heights.

WORK ENVIRONMENTAmphenol CIT St Augustine is a clean facility with machinery, equipment, processes and chemicals that may pose ergonomic, chemical, machine and powered vehicle hazards. These hazards are controlled through engineering and administrative controls. Personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, safety toe shoes and hand protection may be required.

Education and/or Experience- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1‑year related experience preferred.
- Ability to measure accurately using a ruler or tape measure.
- Previous soldering experience.
Must have a working comprehension of the English language with workplace‑level grammar, composition, oral and written communication skills.
