Headquartered in St. Augustine, FL, Amphenol CIT designs and manufactures high‑performance wire, cable, and medical devices for aerospace, military & defense electronics, space, medical, test & measurement, and industrial industries.

Under general supervision, the Electrical Assembler I performs simple cable assembly operations to build high‑quality cables, wire harnesses, and integrated products for the aerospace industry.

Pay: $17 per hour; after certification pay increases to $18+ per hour.

• Builds simple point‑to‑point wire/fiber cables following drawings and instructions to a high level of quality and productivity
• Demonstrates proper use of basic hand tools: heat gun, hand crimpers, power screwdriver, solder pot, ruler and other machines such as pinning machines and automatic wire strippers
• Identifies wires with basic color code sequence
• Completes all necessary paperwork for cable assemblies
• Consistently demonstrates knowledge required by Assembler I training
• Maintains a clean, organized workstation and eliminates hazardous materials
• Familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines
• May be expanded with additional duties as necessary
• Mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units of measure
• Tracks and records production results and follows priorities to ensure on‑time completion of tasks
• Has physical dexterity and good vision, eye‑hand coordination, and color discrimination for safety codes
• Uses production tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Operates with integrity, teamwork and good working relationships
• Responds to audible alarms for building evacuation, shelter, and equipment issues
• Communicates in English, written and verbal
• Physical demands include standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds independently; up to 100 pounds with mechanical aids; works at height and around moving machinery; operates mobile equipment

Amphenol CIT St. Augustine is a clean facility with machinery, equipment, processes and chemicals that present ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation and powered industrial vehicle hazards. Protective measures include engineering controls such as machine guarding and administrative controls such as safety policies. PPE such as hearing protection, safety glasses, safety toe shoes and hand protection are required in certain areas.

• 1 year related experience preferred
• Ability to measure accurately using a ruler or tape measure
• Previous soldering experience
