Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida
  • Valid BLS/CPR certification
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays
  • Effective communication in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Successful completion of a Level II background check and drug test
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience as a registered nurse in a long‑term care environment (nursing home, skilled nursing, or assisted living)
  • Experience with medication administration
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
  • Experience with Matrix Care system
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Position Description
  • Provide quality professional care to veteran residents, ensuring health, safety, and security per agency SOPs and the Nurse Practice Act
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments; administer medications and treatments per MD orders
  • Document accurately and comprehensively; supervise SLPN, SCNA, and allied health staff
  • Coordinate care with therapy and other departments; manage nursing team assignments
  • Report observations to physicians, head nurses, charge nurses, supervisors, and families as appropriate
  • Maintain standards of nursing care; follow all local, state, and federal regulations and Florida Nurse Practice Act
  • Ensure proper use of supplies, maintain equipment cleanliness, respond to emergencies, and participate in a safe environment
  • Participate in continuing education and quality improvement programs
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned
