Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Ponce Care Center is looking for LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses) to join their team.

Sign On Bonus: $3,000 for full-time & $1,500 for part-time.

Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations and as directed by the Director of Nursing.

• Up to date first‑aid and CPR certification.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse with FL state license.
• Exceptional staff training and customer service skills.
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor.
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to lift fifty (50) or more pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
• Able to stand and/or walk for more than four (4) hours per day.
• Able to bend and/or stoop for more than one (1) hour at a time.

• Provide personal care (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) of residents daily and as needed.
• Provide bedside care. Administer medications and document therapeutic effects.
• Assist with resident comfort.
• Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
• Collect samples and monitor catheters.
• Take TPR (temperature, pulse, & rate), blood pressure, weighing of residents, etc., as directed.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
