House Supervisor (RN) - New Behavioral Health Hospital in Jacksonville, FL - Opening Summer 2026

Lead the Launch of Acadia's Newest Flagship Facility in Florida

Coastal Pines Behavioral Health will be a modern, purpose-built facility and a cornerstone of behavioral health care in Northeast Florida, designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality psychiatric services in the region. The 144-bed behavioral health hospital, located in St. Johns, will offer a full continuum of services including inpatient psychiatric care, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).

Purpose Statement

Responsible for day to day oversite of nursing operations of the facility and ensures staffing is adequate to provide care. When scheduled, oversees the delivery of behavioral health/nursing services in a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times. As needed, collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment teams, other departments and administration to ensure that all residents’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and when they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve customer complaints.

Provide leadership to assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as nursing practice standards. Recognizes that patient safety is a top priority.

This position requires a Level 2 Background Screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. In accordance with Florida law, employers must provide applicants with direct access to information about the state’s background screening requirements.

Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Anticipates and effectively manage changes in census and acuity and allocates nursing resources based on measurement of patient acuity/care needed
  • Role models expectations related to customer service and demonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety
  • Enforce and interpret policies for the delivery of patient and resident care.
  • Ensure proper staffing for each unit , keeping staff ratio, appropriate staffing for pa tenant care needs, covering call- offs and vacation time.
  • Ensure chart checks are completed, seclusi on/restraint log is up to date and nursing assessments are completed, as well as MAR's and report sheets are kept accurate and up to date.
  • Rounds are completed at the beginning of shift and perform random audits.
  • Assist nursing leaders to make sure all staff are oriented and competent to perform required duties. May include coaching staff.
  • Provide mentoring and training as needed.
  • Assist the nursing leadership team by ensuring facility compliance with professional, regulatory and governmental standards.
  • Ensure the effective deliv ery of competent, compassionate and safe care by monitoring and evaluating patient care processes and outcomes on the patient care units.
  • Coordinate all care rendered to patient s, including physician orders and diagnostic information, and ensur e consultations are ordered.
  • Document medical , behavioral health information and nursing care.
  • Administer medications and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing a plan of care with specific and measurable goals, objectives and interventions defining actions unique to each patient ' s needs. Assist in updating and revising the plan of care as goals/objectives are met or when the patient ' s condition changes.
