Position Overview

Pet Paradise is looking for individuals with a passion for pets to organize and manage daytime play groups at our St. Augustine resort location.

Starting Rate

$14.00/hour with a $0.50 increase after 6 months from hire date, and an additional $0.50 increase on the annual anniversary date.

Essential Functions
  • Interact with and monitor dogs in play areas (play-yard and pool) using appropriate toys and tools to ensure safe play.
  • Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and distribute attention and play among all dogs in the playgroup.
  • Minimize stress levels and handle aggressive or unusual behaviors.
  • Control levels of play by following procedures and instructions provided by management and utilizing proper dog handling techniques.
  • Assist team with cleaning and play-yard maintenance duties.
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • True passion for working with animals.
  • Ability to work in all-weather conditions (heat and humidity), exposed to pool water.
  • Comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and physically able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform tasks requiring sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.
  • Flexible to resort schedule needs including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
